Crowder Elementary Basketball Games are today! 3/4 Girls start at 3:00pm with 3/4 boys, 5/6 girls and 5/6 boys to follow. Buses are leaving the school at 2:30 and will return to the Indianola Gym around 6pm.

Community News: The 4th Annual “Evening in Indianola”, an evening dinner/reception, entertainment/program benefitting the Indianola Community and Senior Citizens Center along with the Choate Prairie and Indianola Cemeteries has been scheduled for Thursday, October 20, 2022 beginning with a 6:00 p.m. dinner/ reception at the Indianola School Auditorium.
This year’s special program is entitled “CHITTO HARJO and the ORPHANS OF SCIPIO CREEK.”
The presentation will remind us of Chitto Harjo the Creek Indian known as “Crazy Snake” and his complicated role in Oklahoma history and specifically how a local Choctaw family linked with Harjo orphaned four children near Scipio Creek and the fascinating lives that ensued.
Joining in the program will be Dr. Kenney Brown, retired Professor of History at the University of Central Oklahoma, now of Colorado, along with the Indianola area’s “Circuit Riders” band.
The “Evening in Indianola” is an annual benefit supporting the work of the Indianola Community and Senior Citizens Center and the Choate Prairie and Indianola Cemeteries. There is a $10 per person admission fee ($5.00 5-11 years) for the evening program. In addition, there will the opportunity for on-site “annual giving” for the three charitable organizations.
